Frequently Asked Questions

All certificates for all of our programmes are created and issued on a Wednesday and will be available to download on your portal then.If you registered your attendance using a different email to the one on your portal then we won’t be able to link this to your portal. Please ensure you are only using the email on your portal when registering for any programmes or completing an attendance form. If you think you might have used a different email address then please use the contact form to let us know

Certificates are issued for the work experience once you have completed all of the sessions. You must complete the attendance form at the end of each session so that we can keep a record of your attendance. Your certificate will then be uploaded onto your portal.

Please ensure you have selected your email address from the Student Record drop down in the top right hand corner. If your email address does not show then please let us know via the contact form

The joining links are sent via email to you and your parent on the Wednesday and Friday before a conference. They will also be available via your portal on the Upcoming Events tab.

We appreciate that parents may have other commitments but due to safeguarding any delegate under 18 will need to attend with a parent/guardian. Please note that adults under the age of 21 are unable to accompany delegates under 18. We do require cameras to be switched on to visually verify this. If this is inconvenient then we can transfer you to a date that an adult can be in attendance with you.

If you’re unable to attend the conference with a parent/guardian, we do have a pre-recorded version of the conference that you’re able to purchase for £15 here: https://wexlibrary.yourmedicfamily.org/courses/the-get-into-medicine-conference-e-learning/. You do not need a parent/guardian present, or your camera on, to watch the recorded conference so this option may be best suited to you.

The medical, dentistry and veterinary work experience are all rolling programmes which means you can join at any point. One session is released per month and as long as you complete all sessions within the programme you will receive a certificate. If you also attend the Get into Dentistry Conference you will receive a highly commended reference along with your work experience certificate. You can access this month’s session via your student portal

When you enrol onto the Summer School programme you are sent a confirmation email which contains a registration form. Once you have completed your registration form this is manually processed and your portal will be up to date. This can take up to 48 hours (not including the weekend). You are then enrolled onto the Awards and Medical Leadership Programme

When you purchased the Awards Programme/Summer School a receipt was emailed to the billing email address containing your order number. This may have landed in your junk/spam folder. If you are unable to find this please complete the Contact Form and include your postcode so we can locate your order for you.

The joining details for the Allied Healthcare work experience are emailed to the email address that was used upon billing on the Wednesday and Friday before the session. This is often a parent’s email so please check here if you have not received this. They might have also landed in your junk folder. You will be able to access the work experience portal by the Saturday afternoon so don’t worry if you can’t log on straight away. If you are unable to locate the details please contact us by 4.30pm on the Friday with your order number so we can resend them to you

Sometimes our emails can land in your junk/spam folder so we recommend marking Medic Mentor as important to prevent this from happening as we don’t want you missing out on important emails. Also school email addresses can often block external emails landing in your inbox so we recommend using a personal email if possible.

Certificates for our Allied Healthcare Work Experience Programme sessions aren’t uploaded to your Student Portals and instead, are emailed directly to the email address provided when completing your attendance form on the day. Certificates are emailed out within 7 working days of each session. Please do check your inbox, as well as your junk/spam folder, for an email from Medic Mentor containing your certificate, as sometimes emails land here by mistake
