Membership to the Virtual Medical Society

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Medic Mentor launched the Virtual Medical Society (VMS) – hosting weekly virtual meetings with aspiring medical to discuss all things UCAS!

The VMS society has now grown to exceed 7000 students and evolved to host a student lead committee of 40 motivated young people who work together to research topics for discussion, invite leaders of the NHS in the UK to answer questions and steer our students in the direction to the top 10% of their application year!

Membership to Wider Reading Society

Medic Mentor’s Wider Reading Society (WRS) is the ultimate haven for students looking to unlock the boundless world of medical knowledge beyond their school textbooks.

Dive into a captivating realm of exploration, where imagination and curiosity reign supreme. With the WRS, you can embark on an exhilarating journey of self-discovery, honing your presentation skills and transforming into a charismatic debater. The Wider Reading Society hosts a presentation session on the second Thursday of each month, offering an opportunity for members to share their insights and perspectives. Additionally, on the fourth Thursday of every month, we organise either a stimulating debate or invite a distinguished guest speaker to provide unique perspectives on diverse subjects.
